The first pool in Fox Hills was the “greenhouse” pool (slide pool) and was built in 1964 by the Robertson Brothers Builders (who built many of the homes in our sub along with Pulte). It had a glass covering (like a greenhouse) and at times, was like swimming in pond water! The pool was not winterized properly and popped out of the ground a couple of years later. It then had to be rebuilt and maintained properly. Later in the 1970’s, a slide was added to the side of the pool. The slide was removed many years later due to safety. The “slide pool” starts at 3ft and goes to 5ft and holds 44,000 gallons of chlorinated saltwater.
