Verdict Ridge HOA01

RECENT INFORMATION/REMINDERS:

New Board Members were elected by acclimation at the Annual Meeting on February 13th.  Joining Don Blackwell and Dan Jones for 2012 are Larry Nativi and Dan Hodge, serving their first of two years at the HOA helm.  The upcoming first board meeting for this group will determine positions and duties for the year.  Both Larry and Dan have experience with the HOA as a result of their tenures with the Architectural Control Committee (ACC).  While we welcome their volunteering for the board we also with to thank Mike Krehnbrink and Peggy Yountz for their service to the community as they depart to "civilian life".

The ACC is seeking volunteers for this important committee.  Please contact the head of the ACC, Dan Trotta, if you are interested in serving on the ACC in 2012.  Give Dan a shout to learn more about the ACC and its role in maintaining the high standards established in our community covenants.  Dan can be contacted via his email address...dan3t@aol.com.

Continue to watch your speed as you travel through the neighborhood.  We still have speeding issues in Verdict Ridge and, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's office, a surprisingly significant number of the offenders are parents--with school-age children--who reside in our community.  BE CAREFUL AND SLOW DOWN!!  There is no appointment, tee-time or tennis date, meeting, school bus rendesvous or luncheon worth the life of any resident or guest of Verdict Ridge.

The VR Homeowners' Association Board of Directors is responsible for assuring both the beauty of our community and our property values through compliance with the neighborhood covenants.  We get a considerable number of comments relating to the "compliance letters" mailed by our management company subsequent to their inspection drive-bys.  The board wants these communications to be effective...We want to hear from you!  What do you like/not like about these letters?  What suggestions do you have to make them more effective?  How would you make them more "actionable" for the recipient?  Send your comments via email to Dan Jones, VP-VRHOA at hogzilla01@gmail.com

Be reminded that ACC approval is required BEFORE improvements are made.  The ACC approval forms and the recently updated ACC guidelines can be found under the Documents section of the website.   Failure to do so can result in substantial penalties, so take a look at the guidelines and contact any member of the ACC if you need clarifications and/or answers to your questions in this regard.

Streetlight burned out or operating 24-hours per day?  To report, call Rutherford Electric at 704-435-5401 and give them the Pole Number (small yellow/black numerals at the base of the pole) and the street name.
