Dear Beacon Reef Owners,

In light of the situation we are having with windows being installed that are not consistent with the current look of our buildings, the board has decided to place a temporary hold on the installation of any replacement windows in all units.

At this present time, no plans for any remodeling have been summited to the board for approval and until the board has chosen a  manufacturer and tint that is the closest match to the majority of existing windows, no plans that include window changes will be approved.

We are currently waiting on glass samples with different tints and it is our intention to have an answer as soon as we can meet and agree.

As many of you already know, Donna Cutrone passed away this morning at their home in Connecticut. Although we are grateful that she is in heaven and has no more pain, words fail to adequately express the deep sense of loss and sadness her untimely death brings to us. Her friendship and beautiful smile will be sorely missed.

The family is still in the process of finalizing the arrangements for a wake on Thursday, May 25 at Magner Funeral Home 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850  Tel- 203-866-5553

The funeral is to be held Friday morning, May 26 at St Philips Church in Norwalk.

Gina has put together a beautiful account of Donna's courageous battle against Pancreatic Cancer the link is www.donnasstoryofstrength.wordpress.com

  Elevator Repairs

The elevator control systems were done in 2011 and have been well maintained. However, the elevator jambs and cars are in serious need of repair due to rust and concrete issues. These are the original elevators to the complex – approx. 40 years old and for safety reasons must be repaired. Unfortunately, it is not possible to have the elevators operating at all during the repairs.

The elevators will be down 5 weeks in each building – consecutively.

The construction dates for each building are as follows:

South Building  - July 31 thru September 8th

North Building – September 11 thru October 20th

 Please mark your calendars.

At the April Board Meeting, the Board approved two new condo rules - Guest Parking Spots  and Mold & Mildew Prevention - Owners Responsibilities.  These new rules can be found in the document section on the left.
